Make sure that you take your time when making decisions. This is important if you are disabled or not, I have found when you make decisions when you are in a hurry they generally turn out to be the wrong decision. When you are newly disabled it is even more important to take your time because the decision you make now could end up being with you for a very long time. Do not let people pressure you into something you don’t want to do or are not ready to do. Be ready for some people to think they can pressure you since you have a disability. Just make sure you can show them that you are still a responsible intelligent person disabled or not.
