Sorry I forgot you need to add about 1 cup of cooked rice to the mix so here is the corrected recipe.

4 large green peppers cut in half

1 1/2 lb hamburger

1 jar salsa

1 cup cooked rice

bag shredded cheese – use the cheese of your choice

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Clean out the seeds from the peppers and boil them for about 5 minutes. Drain on paper towels before placing in a shallow baking dish (I generally use a 9×13 pan)

Put hamburger back on low heat and add salsa and rice, stir thoroughly.

When salsa and rice are mixed in well add in most of cheese

(you need to keep enough cheese back to top each pepper)

After cheese is melted and everything is nice and thick turn off heat and spoon mixture into peppers

Top with cheese

Cover and bake for about 40 minutes
