Gratitude

With this being the week of Thanksgiving here in the United States I think it is a great time to reflect on what we are thankful for. It also helps us remember just how lucky we are even if we might be going through something difficult.

Starting this week start a practice of gratitude. Each night before you go to sleep list at least 3 – 5 things you are grateful for. It can be someone holding the door open for you or the fact that you have a safe place to live or for your family and pets. There are always things to be thankful for and if you get stuck you can always repeat. So if one day you are having a bad day and are having trouble of thinking of things to be thankful for you can always be thankful for some of the same things like, your family, pets, food, and home. But try to come up with new things each day. This will help you see just how much there is in life to truly be thankful for.
