Dont Trust Your Brain

I received the following article in my email today from Crack Your Egg it automatically made me think about people with disabilities and that is why I wanted to share it with you because as people with disabilities we need to be careful to believe our brains especially if you are newly disabled you need to really question your brain sometimes. I also added some thoughts at the end.

"Don’t believe a thought you think."

That sounds like a bit of an exaggeration, doesn’t it?

Still, it’s a what a friend of mine often says (<– check it out here).

And I totally get why he does:

We really shouldn’t believe many of the thoughts we think… especially negative ones.

Why?

Because they’re often just automatic fabrications of our own brain… which "we" really had no part in creating!
