"Celebrate what you want to see more of."
Thomas J. Peters
Do you celebrate your wins? It is important, especially for someone that is newly disabled to celebrate even the smallest win. When you are disabled learning how to tie your shoes for the first time deserves a celebration. After awhile the celebrations will be a little further apart, just make sure they don’t stop. You and everyone no matter if they have a disability or not need to celebrate your wins. Like our second quote tells us celebrate what we want to see more of, so if you did something that made you feel really good then celebrate it. Remember too, the celebration does not have to be a big party, even thought it could be if you wanted, it could be as small as a pat on the back and telling yourself good job. Football players do a little dance when they get a touchdown, start doing your own little dance when you have done something good.
