"You have to decide if you’re going to wilt like a daisy or if you’re just going to go forward and live the life that you’ve been granted."
"In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock."
When you first become disabled you need to determine if you can be a rock or a daisy. It is okay if you are a little of both, the most interesting people are made up of many things. The important thing is that you don’t end up wilting and disappearing. Remember that disability does not mean that you are no longer a person it just means you are now a little different, so go pick some daisies.
When you are having a bad day it is okay, don’t get down on yourself. Tell yourself that you will be down for the day or X number of hours and then tomorrow you will feel better. The important thing is you need to feel your feelings and work through your emotions.
