"Work begins when the fear of doing nothing at all finally trumps the terror of doing it badly."
-ALAIN DE BOTTON, author
“Each of us must confront our own fears, must come face to face with them. How we handle our fears will determine where we go with the rest of our lives. To experience adventure or to be limited by the fear of it.”
If you are newly disabled it may take you some time before you are ready to get moving on the rest of your life. As our first quote says there will come a time that doing something badly won’t matter anymore as long as you are doing something. I know this was true for me. And how you address your fears will determine how much life you actually live. If you are afraid to go out alone then your life may not be as full as if you learn to be as independent as you once were, or at least close to it. It is all how you look at your disability.
