Accessible Performance Check it Out!

Here’s another great show for everyone by Millersville this one will be held at their Ware Center in downtown Lancaster so it is easily accessible (you could even bring the train in and catch a cab up to the show)! I actually had classes in that building and it is both easy to find and easy to navigate! I have been to several shows and they have always been outstanding and well worth the money!!

This sounds like another wonderful play that I would suggest trying to attend and it is audio described! I know the gentleman that does the description that does the description and he does a great job, in my opinion. So make every effort to come out for this wonderful play!

an ACCESSIBLE PERFORMANCE of

EVERYBODY’S HERO: THE JACKIE ROBINSON STORY

ASL Interpreted / Audio Described

Friday, February 10 / 7:30 PM / Ware Center

At the start of the summer of 1947, television was brand new, the sound barrier had not been broken, and baseball was a white man’s game. By the time the fall arrived, all that had changed. President Truman addressed the nation for the first time on TV, Chuck Yeager flew faster than any man ever had, and Jackie Robinson became the first African-American to play major league baseball. This play, with music, by mad River Theater Works, shows the events that shaped Jackie Robinson’s character, his struggle to gain acceptance, and the tremendous obstacles he overcame on his way to changing the face of our nation and our national pastime.
